How to fix connectors not gluing to shapes in Microsoft Visio?

Hi,

I'm having a problem with new connectors not gluing to shapes in Visio. I'm working on quite a larger document that didn't use to have this problem. Glue is currently active in the visual aids menu so this is not the issue.
Some fixes I have tried to no avail (from responses on other websites) are making sure the document is in positive coordinates on the page and copy-pasting everything to a new document. I have also tried on a different device.
I would love any suggestions for fixing this issue.

Thanks,

Jess

    Hi @Jess

Could you please tell us which version of Viso are you using?

Does this issue occur with other Visio drawings or stenciles?

Update: The gluing works to the right of a certain point in the diagram. Dragging individual shapes past this point allows them to be glued but dragging the whole diagram to the right moves this point with it.

Could you share us some screenshots for more information?

Did you add connection points to existing shapes?

    • Please make a copy for some shapes, then choose one shape that cannot be glued, go to Home tab > Editing group > change shapes, you may choose a same shape or a different shape for a test.

    Are there different layers?

    • If yes, please check whether you assigned some of the objects to a Visible Layer that is disabled for Glue and Snap?
