Modernization Hotmail server information set up older iPhone using iOS 12.5.7

Question

I received modernization notice from Microsoft; using iPhone 6 + with iOS 12.5.7 (which is supposed to be compliant with email modernization). deleting and setting up account on iPhone; using exchange option in iOS; when entering server information as "outlook.live.com" or "outlook.office365.com" . i receive error "unable to verify account information". is there an update to the server information that can be used to enable native ios mail and calendar? (as a backup I have hotmail.com email forwarded to other account that better supports native iOS mail authentication) Any set up recommendations are welcomed.
