Hi all,

We've a PE created for Azure Machine Learning workspace, but when I am trying to resolve the hostname of the private link FQDN it is getting resolved with public IP intermittently.

We have custom DNS Forwarders and Centralized Azure Private DNS zones in place. Any help to trace the cause would be really appreciated!

DNS resolution (in the 1st attempt it got resolved with private IP but in the very next attempt it got changed to public one).

{03596B60-D4BD-44B7-A06B-F51204E04B3A}

Entry for private endpoint FDQN: {2F015799-DCC8-4424-A2C1-487D2CEB15A8}

Thanks

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    To further troubleshoot this issue, please kindly try below steps:

    1.Run ipconfig/all command to check current DNS setting and make sure the DNS server is selected.

    2.Ensure that your custom DNS forwarders are configured well and can resolve the private DNS record.

    3.Check the NSG rules of the subnet and ensure that the necessary traffic is allowed and there are no conflicting rules that might be causing intermittent resolution issues.

    4.Capture a network trace by wireshark or network monitor when issue reproduces and check if there's any insight.

    I hope the information above is helpful.

    If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
