I am getting this error when trying to access a Windows 11 Pro computer using RDC and a Remote Gateway externally.

"Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Remote Desktop Gateway and the remote computer are unable to exchange policies. This could happen due to one of the following reasons"

All of our Win 10 computers work fine and most of the Win 11 do too. There are only 2 computers that are having this issue. All of them were setup identically and at the same time.

Some articles online are pointing toward a bad Windows update and offer a solution by changing a registry entry https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/july-windows-server-updates-break-remote-desktop-connections/ But I didn't have any luck with that.

Please let me know if anyone was ran into this issue / has a fix.

    Hello,

Based on my research, the issue appears to be a known problem caused by a system update. Does this problem also occur recently after installing a system update in Windows 11? Some users reported that the issue was resolved after removing a specific update patch (KB5040442), you can try:

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards
