"Why am I unable to create an Azure Student account despite meeting the eligibility criteria as an active student with a valid college email?"

I am trying to sign up for an Azure free student account using my valid college email address , but I am receiving the following message:

“You're not eligible for an Azure free account. Don't worry—you can still use Azure by paying as you go, with no upfront commitments. Cancel anytime.”

I am currently enrolled at Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering and believe I meet the eligibility criteria for the Azure for Students offer. My college email has been verified, but I am unable to activate the free student account.

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue so I can take advantage of the Azure for Students program. Please let me know if you need any further information.

To resolve this issue, double-check whether the following items are true:

    • The information that you provided for your Azure account profile (including contact email address, street address, and telephone number) is correct.
    • The credit card information is correct.
    • You don't already have a Microsoft account that uses the same information.
