@Rahul ,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
I understand that you would like to add a DNS Record to an IP (of a Load Balancer)
May I ask if you are using a Private DNS Zone or a Public DNS Zone?
If you are using Public DNS Zone,
- The DNS will be resolvable across the internet
- However, this requires you that actually purchase and own the domain "rdaksdemozone.com" from a Domain Registrar
- From the naming convention, I doubt you own this domain - Please correct me if I am wrong
- Can you please confirm you own the domain "rdaksdemozone.com" and also did DNS Delegation as mentioned here
- If not, please consider purchasing the required domain and delegate the DNS to Azure
If you are using a Private DNS Zone,
- The DNS will be resolvable only across the VNETs to which this Private DNS Zone is linked.
- i.e., This will not be resolvable across Internet
- Now, if you don't want to purchase a public domain from a Registrar and in Test/POC Stage, you can consider this
- See : Link the Private DNS Zone to a virtual network
- Post this, all the VMs in the Linked VNET will be able to resolve the DNS Records in this Zone
- More info on : Name resolution for resources in Azure virtual networks
Kindly let us know if this helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
Thanks,
Kapil
