I want to install a DNS with Windows Server 2019 in an Oracle virtual box, but when installing it it does not let me install the desktop experience and it installs Server Core directly. Does anyone know how to install the experience desktop?

To install Windows Server 2019 with the Desktop Experience in Oracle VirtualBox, make sure you're selecting the correct installation option during the setup process. Here's how to do it:

    1. Start the installation: Boot from the Windows Server 2019 ISO in VirtualBox.
    2. Select Edition: When the installation prompts you to select the version, choose one that includes "Desktop Experience" in the name (e.g., "Windows Server 2019 Standard (Desktop Experience)" or "Windows Server 2019 Datacenter (Desktop Experience)"). If you don't see this option, it's likely that you're using an ISO that only includes Server Core.

Ensure that you're using an ISO that contains both the Server Core and Desktop Experience options. If you continue having trouble, you may want to verify that your ISO file is correct and includes the Desktop Experience versions.

    Hi Jose,

Thanks for your post. Please note that for Windows Server 2016 or later installation, select Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server (Server with Desktop Experience). If you do not make a choice in the Setup wizard, Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 is installed as the Server Core installation option. You cannot switch between the installation options. If you install Windows Server (Server with Desktop Experience), and later decide to use Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019, you must perform a fresh installation of Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019.
