As of the last week of September 2024 when interacting with Copilot, Copilot has exhibited an extreme fixation on two topics. Even a fresh interaction on copilot.microsoft.com or using the Copilot panel on MS Edge, a separate device, or private browsing will have it try to relate the conversation to either Korea's KSTAR nuclear experiment or the Australia vs India cricket match. It seems to also be interfering with its ability to reference previous interactions within the 30 questions and answers.

Example:
After starting a new topic,

You - question 1: Please summarize our conversation up till now as if you were a minute taker in a meeting.

Copilot - response to first prompt:

Meeting Summary - September 29, 2024, 16:12 EDT

Introduction: The user greeted and asked for assistance. Discussion on Nuclear Fusion: The user inquired about the latest nuclear fusion experiment from South Korea. The assistant provided details about the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) experiment, highlighting its achievement of sustaining a nuclear fusion reaction at temperatures exceeding 100 million°C for 30 seconds. Cricket Match Inquiry: The user asked about the latest cricket match between India and Australia. The assistant summarized the recent match where Australia defeated India by 21 runs in the 3rd ODI, securing the series 2-1. Is there anything else you’d like to discuss or need help with?

x end x

If the prompt requesting for the summary is added after a longer interaction the majority of the time it will only return this response mentioning KSTAR and cricket omitting the other queries or prompts from the user.

I have experienced that, too. If asked a question, the first answer relates to that question. When asked a follow-up question, it comes up with entirely random, unrelated stuff. I also got the cricket match response at one point. I feel like something has been seriously broken since last week.
