Direct AD integration for the Linux servers

I have a question regarding "Manage Linux SUDO privileges with Microsoft Active Directory". We are looking at a schema extension which will provide the capability to manage SUDO permissions on Linux hosts from the Active Directory Domain Controller. "https://www.haxor.no/en/article/sudo-with-ad"

Is this officially acknowledged by Microsoft and is supported as a feature?

Will this void Microsoft support for the AD component?
