Outlook.com account is blocked, the original email address added as backup no longer exists, the PIN is sent to another email address, we then go through the questions to recover such as recipients email addresses and email subject, but the information we provide is limited as its hard to know exactly who emails are sent to, once the process of recovery is complete MS tells us the recovery was not successful, there is very important potentially sensitive information in the mailbox and at present it is impossible to recover, urgent assistance is required. Thanks

    Hi @US

    Welcome to our forum!

What is your account type? Exchange or POP or IMAP?

If you are using a POP/IMAP account type, i am afraid it could not be connected any more, as i know: If your Outlook is configured to connect to Outlook.com using POP or IMAP, Modern Authentication is not supported. This means that when Basic Authentication is fully deprecated, it will no longer connect.

More information Authentication Methods now needed to continue syncing Outlook Email in non-Microsoft email apps - Microsoft Support

If you are using an Exchange account type, please take the following steps:

If these steps don’t work, you might consider creating a new Outlook.com account and contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance. Sometimes, speaking with a support agent directly can help resolve issues that automated systems can’t.

    Hope it helps!
