Hello family,

I want to set up a new latest Configuration Management 2403 test lab, but get an error at the beginning, it says "Setup missing critical SQL prerequisite" as shown below. However, Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server has already been installed on the server. Am I missing something or has Microsoft changed something? setup error

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

Per the official document, starting with Configuration Manager 2309 release, we need to install Microsoft ODBC Driver 18 on every node that has the site system role installed as a prerequisite. So please install Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server 18.1.0 or later on the server to have a try. Refer to:

Introducing SQL ODBC driver support for Configuration Manager

Download ODBC Driver for SQL Server

    SQL ODBC

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
