Creating a Calendar with Microsoft Graph times out

When I try to create a Calendar with Microsoft Graph (using the examples for PHP), I get a idle timout reached for \"https:\/\/graph.microsoft.com\/v1.0\/me\/calendars\

The same problem appears with the endpoint /users/{userId}/calendars.

Getting Calendar info, and getting Events does work as expected. I tried both with using a valid access token, or using an authorization code, and my scope is set to Calendars.ReadWrite (which is also enabled on Microsoft Entra admin center).

Can someone explain how I can fix this issue?

After testing in Graph Explorer, the endpoint works fine. The permission you need to grant is Calendars.ReadWrite delegated permission. Please parse the token through jwt.ms to check if it has valid permissions.

I set the correct scopes to Calendars.ReadWrite. I can not parse the token through jwt.ms, since it is encoded incorrectly according to this site. However, the token works for the GET me/calendars endpoint. And also in graph explorer, the access token has the same format. Also in Graph Explorer, the endpoint works. Can it be some problem with the php GraphServiceClient?

I tried this according to the documentation you sent, and also using an additional implementation for own token storage on the GraphServiceClient. However, since it is working for some endpoints (get Calendars and Events) and not working for other endpoints (get Userinfo and create a calendar), it is not clear to me what the problem is exactly. Also I don't get a clear error message from Microsoft, which makes debugging hard.

Hi @Yakun Huang-MSFT , I did more tests and I still have the following results:

When doing the request https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/calendars with Graph Explorer, everything works as expected.

When I do a request using the GraphServiceClient for PHP, I still get a timeout error.

When I do the same request by using Symfony\Contracts\HttpClient\HttpClientInterface using the same headers/body as in the Graph Explorer, I get a HTTP 400 without further error details. If I use an invalid token here, I get a HTTP 401 status code.

I sent the request this way at first, but this also throws a timeout error for this endpoint. Also the GraphFactory to use this GraphServiceClient with own implementation of token storage does not work. For other endpoints - e.g.

I sent the requests using the GraphServiceClient at first, but this throws a timeout error. When I use the factory to use GraphServiceClient with own token storage, the same error happens.

That is why I tested to send the request as mentioned above.

However, using the GraphServiceClient for other endpoints (eg $graphServiceClient->me()->calendars()->get()->wait(); ) does work.

How can I verify that the GraphServiceClient for php is working correctly?
