How can I add a search bar within my model driven app in Power Apps to search through the content and find items that match the phrase I am searching for? I see that I can add a dataverse search but can I add something like this to search from within the app itself?

Thanks!

    Hi Albright, Ashley,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Steps to Set Up a Custom Search in a Model-driven App:

    1. Open Power Apps Studio:
      • Go to the Power Apps website and select the model-driven app you want to modify.
    2. Navigate to Dataverse Tables:
      • In the left-hand navigation, go to Dataverse and select Tables.
    3. Select the Relevant Table:
      • Find the table where you want to apply custom search (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Orders).
    4. Go to Views:
      • Inside the table, navigate to the Views section. Views determine how data is displayed and filtered in the app.
      • Either create a new view or edit an existing view.
    5. Configure Searchable Columns:
      • In the view editor, there will be an option to select which columns are searchable.
      • Select the Search Columns option (or sometimes called Quick Find Columns). Kindly refer the below screenshot. User's image
