New to Azure just built a VM and added RDS to allow multiple users log in at the same time, i keep getting a error message like a count down.

"Remote Desktop Licensing mode is not configured x amounts of days. on the RD connection broker server, use server manager to specify the remote desktop.

In the events i get ID 1306 Error MS terminal service session broker client.

Do i need to purchase CAL licenses and install them, i have searched for answers but more confused then when i started.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

    Hi,

As I understood, you wanted to allow multiple users to access the RDS at the same time. In this case, you should have per-device CALs to be purchased. You need 1 CAL per active connection. Suppose, you need 10 users to be able to connect the RDS at the same time, 10 CALs needed.

Install RDS on the server and add your per-device CALs via the licensing console. You can find many articles to guide you on, how to set up RDS in your server.

    Hope this helps.
