problem with two network adapters

the first network adapter was changed by the second network adapter and the second network adapter was changed first after installing and uninstalling the driver software

    Hi ,

    Based on our limited environment, I have only one physical network card in my lab and cannot reproduce this phenomenon. I would suggest you just ignore it and rename the adapter to what you want, if there is no impact on your environment.

    Unfortunately the numbering of adapters is not warranted. Usually it is persistent across reboots, but not warranted.
    Try to do what CandyLuo suggested (both parts) or tag this thread as windows-10-network, windows-platform-network and windows-hardware-code-ndis
    The latter to be noticed by very special Microsoft networking people who can actually help.

    Setup a default gateway on NIC 1 and NO default gateway on NIC2. Leave it blank in the adapter properties- does that help?

    A lot of the msinfo32 data was in a foreign language.

    From what I could read it appears that both:

    Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller and TP-Link Gigabit PCI Express Adapter use RT640X64.SYS

    The vendor/device indicated Realtek.

    The Microsoft catalog indicated Realtek.
