It sounds frustrating that your R42 card isn’t working as expected. Let’s try to troubleshoot this together.

Check Card Compatibility: Ensure that your R42 card is compatible with Azure’s registration process. Sometimes, specific card types might have unique requirements or limitations.

Browser and Network Settings: Make sure your browser is up-to-date and that there are no network restrictions or firewalls blocking the registration process.

    1. Smart Card Redirection: If you’re using a remote desktop or virtual environment, ensure that smart card redirection is properly configured.
    2. Device Registration: Verify that your device is properly registered with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). Device registration is crucial for cloud-based authentication.
    3. Conditional Access Policies: Check if there are any conditional access policies in place that might be affecting your ability to register with the R42 card.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you might want to contact Azure support for more detailed assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your account and setup.

Is there anything else you’d like to know or another way I can assist you?
