Microsoft Teams only allows one incoming video

On a Teams call in my Azure virtual desktop on my Macbook Pro M2, I can only get one incoming video. For instance, in a gallery view with 4 total participants, only one participant shows up and the others have blank video, even though their cameras are all on.

My video works and others can see me. Also, I can see all other participants when I switch to gallery view. When someone is screensharing and I click "pop out", then I can see the shared screen but then 0 video feeds of other users. It's shouldn't be an issue with bandwith.

Has anyone else had this issue?

It sounds like you might be experiencing a known limitation. To confirm, we'd need the version of macOS you're using.

Please note that Teams running on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) has some specific requirements and limitations:

Client Updates: If Teams is installed per-machine on your virtual desktop, it doesn’t auto-update like standard Teams clients. Updating requires installing a new MSI on the virtual machine image.

Media Optimization: Teams media optimization is only supported on macOS 10.14 or later, or on Windows 10 or newer. Optimized media allows smoother audio/video calls, but without it, you may encounter reduced functionality—like seeing fewer video feeds.

RemoteApp Limitations: Media optimization isn't supported for Teams running as a RemoteApp on macOS endpoints. This could contribute to the video feed limitations you’re observing.

Please share your macOS version, and we can help confirm if this is impacting your Teams call experience.
