Unable to connect to Azure SQL Database through Azure AI Search, as shown in this picture when clicked on Databases nothing is shown here but when I use endpoint of server less SQL on Power Bi, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, it shows the name of all databases, I have also provided the permissions like Storage Blob Data Reader, Owner, Distributor, SQL Server Contributor to Azure Ai Search on Subscription level, but still unable to connect. The below screen captures shows that Power Bi, and MS SQL Server Management Studio are showing the names of the databases.

I have checked with the internal team, and they have informed that all the built-in SQL serverless pool that is created in synapse won't be shown under your subscription and that is reason you are not able to create a data source with Azure AI search service. Also, the scope of this serverless pool will be within the workspace only. We have observed that we can create the data source in AI search with dedicated SQL pool in synapse workspace. If you want to create a data source with Serverless SQL I would suggest you create an Azure SQL database in serverless mode and try connecting to search service from it. Yes, it worked with by creating Azure SQL database in server less mode and I as a solution of this issue at the place of pulling data using Azure Ai Search from Azure Synapse, I have used pushing the data to Azure Ai search using Synapse Studio's pipeline's Copy Data Tool, because as you have told that we can only able to access the server less pool inside the workspace only.

Yeah I will accept but I have one query regarding this. Can you please tell that if I am using SQL sever less pool on Azure Data Lake Gen 2 on parquet files, the output tables are structured data, so where actually does these tables get stored is there a separate SQL database which we can't access directly, or the tables are just stored under Azure Data Lake. Because there is lot of confusion if a SQL database doesn't exist how we are able to use it through Power Bi.
