Hi everyone,

During a recent class led by one of our teachers, we encountered some unusual behavior that I hope to get insights on. We frequently use breakout rooms, and our teachers ensure that all participants are logged in as verified users and not as external guests.

However, during this particular session, when the teacher checked on the participants and called out a few users who showed up as unverified, some of the other students insisted that the ones being called out were indeed verified. This was quite surprising, especially since some students appeared unverified to their peers while the teacher saw them as verified.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues in Teams? Any suggestions or tips on how to address this situation would be greatly appreciated!
One small detail: the teacher was using the Teams app on a Mac.

Thank you for your help!

    @nikolaj

    It sounds like there may be a synchronization issue between the credentials and the Teams system, or there could be some inconsistencies with how different devices and platforms handle user verification status. Here are a few suggestions to address this situation:

    1. Update the Teams App: Make sure that both the teacher and the students are using the latest version of the Teams app. Outdated software can sometimes cause inconsistencies or glitches.
    2. Clear Cache: Clearing the cache of the Teams app can resolve many problems.
    3. Check User Roles and Status: Ensure that there are no discrepancies in user roles and statuses in the organization’s admin portal. Sometimes, permissions and roles set at the administrative level can affect how users appear in Teams.
