Windows Hello not working

I have a Dell XPS-8960 desktop and an MSI GS76 Stealth laptop, both running Windows 11 Pro latest update. The MSI is starting Windows just fine, but on the Dell, today when I went to log in, the only option on the logon screen was to enter my PIN. My fingerprint reader and camera did not appear. When I opened settings, it told me that neither option was available. I checked device manager, and it said both devices were working properly.

Can anyone help?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Based on my understanding of your issue, I suggest you try opening the device manager. Find the biometric driver and right-click to uninstall. Then click Scan to detect hardware changes in the upper right corner. Windows will search for the appropriate driver to install while connected to the Internet. Open the fingerprint settings again. The same goes for the camera.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Zunhui
