I need a list of all users from Azure AD with the Description attribute.

We are looking to output a list of all users in Azure AD (Entra?) with several attributes, one of which would be the Description field. Our on-prem AD has a Description attribute where we put employee status information (Employee FT, Employee PT, Employee PRN, Non-Employee Contractor, etc.) We don't see this in Azure AD for any user. How do we display it and output it for all users to a list? Or do we want instead to use the Employee Status attribute that is in Azure AD/Entra, and how do we display that attribute?

We want to see the Description for each user in AzureAD just like we can see it in Active Directory OnPrem. We would like to output a list of all users and include the Description in a column.

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Q&A Forum!

I understand that you have a on-premises AD attribute name called Description and you want to display that attribute for each user in Entra ID user properties.
Entra ID does not have a Description attribute for users, you cannot add this attribute under user attributes, but you can map this attribute to any other attribute by using the synchronization rule editor with this you can customize the synchronization rule to map the attribute.

We reviewed the documentation links you provided. I would feel more comfortable opening a case for this and having a remote session to discuss our environment and needs with an engineer. How do I get a case opened for this under our Unified Enterprise agreement?
