Full screen toggle button gone from next to minimize window

Question

After a Microsoft update I can no longer make a window of an App go to full screen. The button that was next to Minimize Window is gone. Now all I can do with Apps is Maximize them, which leaves the task bar and the menu bar visible.

How do I get that button back.

Hi,

May I know what kind of app you want to make it to full screen? And what OS version of your PC? Please run "winver" in CMD to show the version information.

In my environment (Version 2004 OS build 19041.572), some apps can go to full screen by pressing F11 and others can go to full screen by pressing windows+shift+Enter.
But some apps cannot go to full screen by design.
You can have a try.

And you mentioned full screen toggle button, please share a screenshot so that we can better understand your issue.

Hi,

Do you mean below app? I installed it from microsoft store and it directly goes to full screen once opened. But I was using desktop not Surface Pro.

So, you might need to seek for help from Surface or Asphalt 8 side.
