SQL Managed Instance Link failback feature issue

Dears,

I would need assistance on Azure SQL Managed Instance Link feature. I have one managed SQL Instance (Primary role) and SQL Server 2022 update 15 running on virtual machine (Secondary role). I performed following steps and worked fine:

  • Connection b/w SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server 2022 test was successful.
  • Successfully created link b/w SQL Managed Instance and SQL server.
  • Failover was successful (SQL Server role changed from Secondary to Primary)

However, failback feature/option did not work as expected (SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server both in read-write mode) even did not receive any error while manually failback through link.

I would need community assistance to guide me on failback procedure please.

Regards,
