Adjusting Audio Speed in Azure AI Speech

Is it possible to adjust the speed of audio generated using an OpenAI voice?

I know that OpenAI's REST API supports a parameter for speed, but I couldn't find anything similar in the Azure AI Speech documentation.

In Azure AI Speech Service, under the Manage Files section, created a new text file and enable the SSML (Speech Synthesis Markup Language) and add a <prosody> tag to control the rate of speech, using the following format in SSML:

<prosody rate="x-fast">sample text</prosody>

After adjusting the rate attribute to various values (e.g., "x-fast", "medium", "slow"), the speed of the synthesized audio changed accordingly, demonstrating the effect of the SSML prosody tag in controlling speech rate.

Good Afternoon Avinash, came across this post while working with the Azure Speech to Text action in Power automate. Would you happen to know the min/max in percent I can use with the Azure AI Speech connectors? I want to add a slider to my Power App to allow the user to speed up/slow down the output, but I'm unclear if I need to set the variable as +50% or 150% to speed up 1.5x. I think going the opposite way I can just say -50% to get to half speed.
