Hello,

Please i need your help on this issue.

We are experiencing an issue where we are noticing that some emails are not reaching our online Exchange. We have checked our filters and they are not stuck there.

Through doing testing, we have seen that sometimes an email from the same email address gets through and then sometimes does not.

This appears to be happening for various senders of emails, sometimes they get through, sometimes they don’t or heavily delayed.

The emails are missing from both Outlook Desktop and Outlook on the web until they are eventually delivered, it appears they are heavily delayed.

We have also checked the Spam folder and junk folder.

Initially they do not appear in the message trace, however once they eventually feed through, they mention a large delay:

esa2.hc2528-13.iphmx.com ()  > MN1PEPF0000F0DF.mail.protection.outlook.com ) = Delay: 843 minutes 53 seconds

iphmx.com = Cisco Ironport, we have checked this and does not appear to have issues.

    Hi, @IniobongNkanga-8038

Through your description, I understand that you are experiencing the problem of missing emails or severe delays.

There are many reasons for the issue, such as transfer rules, email restrictions, and many more.

Can you provide more information so I can do further troubleshooting:

    1. Where do the delayed emails come from? Is it from a different domain?
    2. Are emails that are delayed delivered in Exchange?
    3. Do you have a spam detection policy set up?Can you check the email headers to identify the specific server where the problem occurred?
    4. Considering that you mentioned to Cisco Ironport, you can try disabling it and see if there is still lag.
