After returning from PTO, Visual Studio 2022 is not functioning as expected. All .cs files display completely white text, and features like code navigation (F12), object attribute checks, and autocomplete are non-functional.

This issue occurs in both existing and new solutions.

Steps already taken include:

  • Checking for updates for Windows 11 (23H2) and Visual Studio 2022 (17.11.5).
  • Removing and reinstalling the IntelliCode component via the Visual Studio Installer.
  • Resetting all settings through Tools > Import and Export Settings.

    Hi @Mario Puglisi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I couldn’t reproduce your issue in Visual Studio Professional version 17.11.5.

Do you have any third-party extensions installed?

You can temporarily disable or uninstall the installed extensions under Extensions > Manage Extensions > Installed.

Then, re-launch your VS2022 and check it again.

Or you can open the Visual Studio Installer > More > Repair your VS.

    Sincerely,

    Anna
