I am trying to start Windows 10 on a Virtual machine specifically in Hyper-V. I've downloaded it off Microsoft and saved it as a .iso. I am not too sure why it isn't working, I also have the new Surface laptop which has the new Snapdragon CPU. If anyone can help me figure this out, I'd greatly appreciate it

What pops up when I try to connect is

  1. SCSI DVD (0,1) The boot loader did not load an os
  2. Network Adapter A boot image was not found
  3. SCSI Disk (0,0) The boot loader did not load an os If I can't fix the problem does anyone have any suggestions on if I should get a new laptop?

    Hi Allen,

Thanks for your post. We have encountered similar issue that is caused by the wrong Generations VM. If you have create a 32 bit .iso, please create the VM as a Gen1 since its a 32 bit instance. Hyper-V Gen2 does not support 32 bit UEFI.

Also, please follow the official guide to create one VM in Hyper-V.
