Simple question I couldn't find any info about removing my ssd drive

I was just wondering why when I safely remove my ssd, wait for the icon to disappear. It makes a system noise sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Is it maybe not disconnecting properly sometimes and slowly corrupting my files? Couldn't find any info with Google but Google doesn't seem very helpful for questions anymore

    Hello,

The sound you hear when safely removing your SSD can be due to several factors:

Power Management: SSDs can emit faint noises due to power management features. When the CPU or SSD enters a low-power state, it can produce a buzzing or clicking sound.

Interference or Component Issues: Occasionally, interference from other components or minor issues within the SSD itself can cause noises.

Normal Operation: Some SSDs make noises during normal operation, especially under heavy load. This is usually harmless and not indicative of any problem.

To ensure your SSD is disconnecting properly and not corrupting files:

Always use the “Safely Remove Hardware” option.

Wait for the confirmation message or icon to disappear before physically disconnecting the SSD.

Keep your system and drivers updated to minimize any software-related issues.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
