To disable QuickEdit mode in the Command Prompt (CMD) on Windows 11, follow these steps:
- Open Command Prompt:
- Press
Win + S
to open the search bar.
- Type
cmd
or Command Prompt
.
- Right-click the Command Prompt app and select "Run as administrator."
- Open Properties:
- Right-click the title bar of the Command Prompt window.
- Select “Properties” from the context menu.
- Disable QuickEdit Mode:
- In the Properties window, click on the “Options” tab.
- Under the "Edit Options" section, uncheck the box that says "QuickEdit Mode."
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Now, QuickEdit Mode should be disabled in the Command Prompt. If you open a new Command Prompt window, these settings should remain in effect.
