I'm trying to close my Microsoft account but it keeps telling me to leave my organisation. I can't sign into that organisation because my account has been deleted and when I try to sign in via Azure I keep getting redirected to the organisation's landing page.

    Hi @Chris O ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Microsoft requires you to leave any associated organizations before closing your account. However, if your account has already been deleted by the organization, you won't be able to sign in to complete this step, causing a loop.

Even if your work account has been deleted, your personal Microsoft account might still be linked to the organization's Microsoft Entra ID. When you attempt to log into Azure, it redirects you to the organization’s landing page because the system still recognizes your account as part of the organization.

If the organization appears under "Other organizations," try to leave it by selecting the Leave option. If you attempt to leave but receive an error or see no option to do so, you will need to contact the organization's admin to manually remove your personal account from their Microsoft Entra ID.
