Hello,

We are currently experiencing issues with the Windows search feature on our shared disk hosted on the file server. While the indexing process on the file server appears to be running continuously, certain files are not being found during searches.

For example, when searching for the file "4001," only the .pdf files are found, but .dxf files are missing from the search results.

Additionally, many times files are not found at all, with the search returning no results. However, when manually checking the folders, we are able to locate the files. This process is time-consuming and not feasible for all files.

Could you please assist us in troubleshooting and resolving this issue?

Thank you in advance for your help

Best regards,

Blaž

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To further troubleshoot this issue, please kindly try below steps:

1.Check Indexing Options: Ensure that the shared disk is included in the indexing options. Go to Control Panel > Indexing Options and make sure the shared disk is listed and included in the index.

2.Go to Control Panel > Indexing Options > Advanced > Rebuild to rebuild the index.

3.Open CMD as administrator and run below command:

sfc /scannow to check for corrupted system files.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
