What exactly do you mean by “my server has stopped giving automatic responses”? Is it an automatic out-of-office reply?

Check whether the EOP configuration is correct. Set up your standalone EOP service | Microsoft Learn
In general, EOP generally doesn't block automatic responses because these replies are set by inbox rules in the user's mailbox.
More information can help us locate the problem faster and more accurately.
- Does the issue affect all users? Does it exist in Outlook client and OWA?
- Check the message trace in the EAC, are there any errors?
- Check if the OOF settings are configured correctly.
- Check if there are transport rules to block OOF.
- Check if forwarding SMTP addresses are enabled on your mailbox.
- Check if OOF is set on the remote domain.
- Check if the messages are in the Junk Email.
