Windows Search can't find MS Edge

Hello, I am using Windows 10 and have been a Windows user since around 2019. My issue is that I cannot find Microsoft Edge through Windows search. Currently, Edge is my default browser because I prefer it over Chrome. The only way I can access it is by my taskbar, because it is pinned. When I search for "msedge.exe", the command appears, but Edge itself does not show up in the search results. Any assistance would be appreciated.

What are the terms you are entering in the search window?

When I search for msedge.exe that is what shows on the list

When I search for Edge or I search for Microsoft Edge I get the browser icon for Microsoft Edge.

 You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:

 1. Make sure your Windows and Edge browsers are up to date.

 2. Try launching Edge from the command line:

Press Win + R, then type msedge.exe to start Edge.

 3. Rebuild the search index:

Open the Control Panel.

Select Index Options.

Click the "Advanced" button, then select "Rebuild."

 

If the problem persists, you are advised to reinstall the Edge browser.
