Following is the Issue
Outlook Desktop Exchange ActiveSync connections stopped working in Version 2401
Outlook for Microsoft 365 - Last Updated: February 29, 2024
ISSUE - After updating to Version 2401 (Build 17231.20182) Outlook stops connecting when using the Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) protocol.
STATUS: FIXED - This issue is fixed in Outlook Desktop Version 2402 (Build 17328.20068) and higher.
The EAS connection was restored in the above fix. However, it’s in this version 2402 (Build 17328.20068) where the MS 365 calendar syncing issue started.
The 2402 (Build 17328.20068) update created another issue. One would think that the backend engineers can go back to Version 2312 (Build 17126.20132) and compare it to subsequent updates to see where the issue is. It just seems so simple for them the check it out.
Version 2312 (Build 17126.20132) works just fine. No sync issues. The issue is with subsequent updates starting with Version 2402 (Build 17328.20068). As a result I have stopped getting updates on my subscription until the issue is resolved.
On occasion I would check to see if a fix has been put in place, but that has not happened to date. After checking, I would have to revert back to Version 2312. One would think after 9 months, MS would have fixed it already.
Please let me explain exactly what the issue is.
- If I make a calendar entry on webmail, it shows up on webmail, iPhone and MS 365 Outlook Calendar.
- If I make a calendar entry on iPhone, it shows up on webmail, iPhone and MS 365 Outlook Calendar.
- If I make a calendar entry on MS 365 Calendar the entry will NOT show up on webmail and iPhone, but will show up on MS 365 Outlook Calendar.
So, it's only when an entry is made through my MS 365 Outlook calendar is where the issue is.
Many other MS customers over the last nine months have commented on the community post I made, that I are experiencing the same issue.
I also have screenshots to illustrate the issue.
I've been trying to get MS to resolve this issue for NINE months.
Please HELP.
