Tenho um servidor executando o SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition e estou precisando voltar um backup nele mas está dando divergência nas versões, como faço para realizar a atualização que aceitaria o meu Backup anterior?

You cannot restore a backup from an newer version of SQL Server to an older. You need to install SQL 2019 to restore that backup. If you want that database on your SQL 2016 instance, you need to script it and copy the data manually. Beware that the database may be using features not supported on SQL 2016.

The SQL Server database files (*.mdf, *.ndf and *.ldf) and backups are not backward compatible. Backward compatibility is why we cannot restore or attach a database created from a higher version of SQL Server to a lower version of SQL Server. However, there are a few options that can help us to downgrade the database from a higher version of SQL Server to a lower version SQL Server.
You could refer to How to migrate a SQL Server database to a lower version if you want to restore the backup from a newer version of SQL Server to an older.
