    Hello,

To create and share a folder in Windows over a network, you can follow these steps:

    1. Create the Folder:
      • Right-click on your desktop or inside any other folder.
      • Select "New" and then "Folder."
      • Give your folder a name.

    Sharing the Folder:

    1. Share the Folder:
      • Right-click on the newly created folder and select Properties.
      • Go to the Sharing tab.
      • Click on the Share button.
    2. Share with Specific People:
      • In the File Sharing window, you can type in the names of the people you want to share the folder with or select them from a list.
      • After selecting the people, click on the Add button.
      • Set the Permission Level for each person (e.g., Read, Read/Write) by selecting the desired permission level from the dropdown next to their name.
      • Click Share.
    3. Advanced Sharing (Optional):
      • If you want more granular control over sharing settings, go back to the Sharing tab in the folder's Properties dialog.
      • Click on Advanced Sharing.
      • Check the Share this folder option.
      • Click on the Permissions button to set specific permissions.
      • Click OK to save the settings.
    4. Network Discovery and File Sharing:
      • Make sure that Network Discovery and File Sharing are turned on. You can do this by:
        • Going to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings.
        • Make sure "Turn on network discovery" and "Turn on file and printer sharing" are selected.

    Accessing the Shared Folder:

    • Other computers on the same network can now access the shared folder by:
      • Opening File Explorer.
      • Typing \\YourComputerName or \\YourIPAddress in the address bar.
      • They should see the shared folder listed.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu
