Azure Document Intelligence finding signatures

Currently, Azure Document Intelligence can spot signatures only with a custom trained model.

Given there is a "contract" built-in model, and that contracts have signature blocks - are there any plans to include signature presence (not recognition of the actual signatory) to be included within this pre-built model in the near future?

In other words, in the near future will the out-of-the-box "contract" model includes a Signatures section in the JSON response that shows the pageNumber, boundingPolygon and confidenceScore for each signature it detects - without the need to create and train a custom model?

Thanks.

Hi @Richard S,

Thank you for your query regarding the inclusion of signature detection in the built-in "contract" model of Azure Document Intelligence. Currently, signature detection requires a custom-trained model, and Microsoft has not announced plans to add a signature presence feature to the out-of-the-box contract model. Also, I encourage you to submit a feature request for signature detection through the Azure Feedback Forum. Here's the link to the Azure Feedback Forum: Post idea · Community (azure.com).

However, you to keep an eye on updates to Azure Document Intelligence, as new features and enhancements are regularly introduced. For the latest information, you can check the Azure updates page for any announcements regarding upcoming capabilities.

I hope you understand. Do let us know if you any further queries.
