In recent versions of Excel I noticed a new diamond icon in the top right

If you click this diamond you get an advertisement for "premium Python compute"

How can I disable this advertisement?

Steps to reproduce:

  • Open Excel
  • Open a workbook
  • Click the diamond in the top right

From the Microsoft support (on Twitter (X)) I got the following suggestion, however that didn't work.

This feature is rolling out to some users in MS Excel, you can find more details about it here: https://msft.it/6011WDKpZ. To disable this ad, please try the following: In MS Excel, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Uncheck the "Turn on optional connected experiences" box > Click Ok. After that, In Trust Center Settings, go to Message Bar, and uncheck Policy Tips box, and click Ok. Then, please restart MS Excel.

The office 356 account is a business account with one of the business subscriptions.
