Issue: The New Teams icons are greyed out after deleting a duplicate mailbox.

Had one user account in AD with two duplicate mailboxes in hybrid environment. One mailbox was onpremise the other was in O365. I deleted the one in O365 with this command:

remove-mailbox -identity ******@contoso.com -PermanentlyDelete

Now the New Teams icons for mulitple users no longer show other people's pictures on the New Teams. Even when these users go to https://teams.microsoft.com it's the same thing. Already tried clearing the cache. I even migrated one users mailbox up to O365 thinking it would help but it didn't. The teams version is 24257.205.3165.2029_x64.

Users lied to me about not seeing icons on https://teams.microsoft.com. They didn't sign all the way in so they just saw grey icons.

Solution: Start > Settings > Apps > Microsoft Teams > Advanced Options > Reset
