I am considering WebChat connection for Bot Service.

I could not find the following information from the documentation and would like to know

is there any way to set UserID and SessionID?

Is there any way to get the conversation history from the ID?

In Azure Bot Service, you can set the UserID when using Web Chat by passing a user object during the initialization of the Web Chat instance, allowing the bot to recognize and manage individual users. However, you cannot explicitly set a SessionID. The Bot Framework automatically handles session management through conversation identifiers. Each interaction with the bot is linked to a unique conversation ID and user ID, allowing the bot to maintain context throughout the conversation.

With the Bot Framework SDK, you can use ConversationState and UserState to track and store conversation context, allowing you to retrieve conversation history by ID. This involves setting up state properties (e.g., user name, timestamp) and using persistent storage like Azure Blob Storage, so past interactions are accessible across sessions.
