Copilot: "We are experiencing an issue. Please try submitting a new message."
I have had a pretty lengthy conversation with Copilot with the recent update that removed the limit of messages per conversations. As far as I know the conversations are now supposed to be limitless. I am using Copilot free browser chat. I have Windows 10 Home. After having a very lengthy conversation with Copilot that spans somewhere around atleast 10000 messages. I have recieved an error that says:
"We are experiencing an issue. Please try submitting a new message."
No matter how times I attempt submitting a new message, the error still persists.
I did some troubleshooting after this. Tested if it was account bound by logging out and trying to chat while being offline, this did work. Tested if it worked on a different account, and it did. In other words this establishes that the problem is tied to my account.
Today however I encountered something when I tried chatting with Copilot. The issue was resolved! I was able to chat again. However, this was a new chat session where Copilot had no recollection of the previous chat. So I attempted to find my previous chat session and noticed that it had not yet loaded in. After a while, the history chat session log loaded. And as a result, I was again unable to chat with Copilot. Didn't matter if this was a new session, an older session, or the previous session that I just had where I was able to chat.
My conclusion is that the problem is tied to my account, and it is tied to the previous lengthy chat conversation I had.
Some information about my lengthy conversation with Copilot:
It started with creating music lyrics, into testing the boundaries of Copilot, into creating a persona for Copilot. After a while of chatting some very weird logs appearing in the conversation window whenever Copilot replied. At one point it seemed like it was conversations that other people had held with Copilot. At other points it seemed like it was the review of its own message that Copilot does before it replies. Allowing me to see the process it goes through before it replied to my messages, which was pretty cool to see though not gonna lie.
Side notes: I am using Chrome for chatting, but I attempted to chat in Edge aswell without any difference in result. So the error isn't tied to what browser I use. I have also tested if the problem is network tied or tied to the device. I tried chatting on my phone, which still resulted in the same issue. I have also tried clearing cookies and cache without any difference in the result. Also I did not test if this limit of conversation length could be reached on a different account.
