Telephone Number Clickable JSON "tel:@CurrentField"

Question

Hi,

Yes I read that Hyperlink column formatting is limited to http, but that was a post in 2015 :)

Besides using a hyperlink column and always type in the phone number preceding with xxxxxx , is there any JSON way to put the 'tel:' part in front of it?

i tried so many things but either the value disappears in the page of SP complains it is not correct JSON :)

Hi, @Jurgen Verhelst ,

For now, you can't use JSON column formatting to output links to protocols other than http://, https://, or mailto:. It is needed to use hyperlink column and start a phone number with tel: to make it work.
