Datetime fields in process template now split into separate date & time boxes

Question

How can I get ADO Services to stop splitting datetime fields into two separate input boxes? I have a page with a list of datetime fields in column 1 and a list of integer fields in column 2:

But when a user creates that work item, there's suddenly this vast gulf between the date part, shoving the time part into column 2 and the integer part into column 3:

This is ridiculous. We don't need 1/3 of the screen for a date and another 1/3 of the screen for a time. Why can't it be condensed into a single input field like our on-prem Azure Devops Server 2022?
