Hello, I am a student at JKU I have been programming for 5 years and I also have decent skills i various devops tools like docker and kubernetes. I am thinking to apply for Azure certification and I don't know which one to take. I never worked with a cloud before, so I am pretty new to the cloud engineering field. My goal is to learn how to deploy things on cloud and how to maintain these and use tools like k8s, terraform with Azure + learn about the cloud services of Azure that people use in normal backend/frontend development. I appreciate your help

    Hello Abdulrahman Al Sabagh,

Thanks for reaching out on Microsoft Q&A!

Here’s a clear path to get you started with Azure:

    1. AZ-104 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) – Covers the essentials of managing Azure resources, giving you a strong foundation in core tools and services. This is especially helpful if you plan to work with Kubernetes later on.
    2. AZ-204 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) – Focuses on building and deploying apps in Azure, connecting well with your programming background. You'll get hands-on experience with App Service, Azure Functions, and other cloud-native tools.
    3. AZ-400 (Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions) – This is a more advanced certification centered on DevOps. It covers CI/CD, AKS, and Terraform, tying together everything you’ve learned so far.

This order gives you the skills to deploy, manage, and automate on Azure. You’re set! Hope this helps! And, if you have any further query do let us know.
