Issues with Microsoft authentication setup with google authenticator extension

Question

Issue with QR code and secret key not working on MFA for chrome authenticator extension. Tried setup method which previously consistently works and setting up the authorisation both manually and through the QR code and retrying with different details for setup and doesn't work.
