Hello team,

In our tenant we have the sharing settings in "New and existing guest."

We know that our end-users shared data to guest in the past, meaning that the guest are accessing those sharing links without problem.

We plan to limit the sharing to only "Only people in your Organization"

What would happen to the existing sharing link that allow guest access?
Options:

1.the existing sharing link will continue allowing the access to guest and the new sharing policy "Only people in your Organization" will apply only for new sharing links OR

  1. The existing sharing links will be broken and guest using the existing link won't be allowed to access the shared data?

We need to know what would be the impact if we do this change from "New and Existing Guest" to "Only people in your Organization" to inform our end-users

Best regards,

    Hi @Sergio Londono,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Changing the external sharing setting from "New and Existing Guest" to "Only people in your Organization" will affect existing sharing links.

Specifically, any links that were previously shared with guests will no longer work for those guests, as they will be restricted from accessing the content. Only users within your organization will be able to access the shared items.
