Depends on what Azure services you are using. Microsoft recently sent out a mail where the cutoff date was somewhere in the second half of 2025.

But, yes, one termination date was Oct 31st. So there is tomorrow as well.

If you are talking on-prem SQL Server, there is no time bomb, so it is not affected by the date. The date relates to connections to Azure.

    Hi @Lucy [Kyber Digital],

Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 is a cryptographic protocol for secure communication. It's a more secure protocol than the version that Microsoft SQL Server has used historically, TLS 1.0. This article discusses the ideal upgrade workflow and important items to keep in mind when you upgrade TLS.

For more information about which SQL Server-based servers, drivers, and other components should be upgraded, see TLS 1.2 support for Microsoft SQL Server.

    Regards,

    Zoe Hui
