Hello,

We have an upcoming deadline to apply for the next tier of Azure sponsorship (Tier 4), but we’re currently unable to proceed due to the newly added Engagement Score requirement.

When we checked a month ago while deciding whether to fully migrate our services to Azure or potentially return to AWS, there was only a checklist to complete before submission.

However, just days before submitting our request, we encountered a blocker in the form of “Azure Engagement.” We’re unsure of our current engagement status and whether we’re close to meeting the requirement, as no useful information is provided.

It’s frustrating that we cannot submit the request, don’t understand why, and have no information available to resolve this.

This situation is impacting our trust in Azure.

    Hi @vjeftovic

Thanks for reaching out with your concerns about the engagement score. We appreciate the patience and understand it can be a bit confusing. As the score is designed to reflect how active one is using Azure, we can't provide specific details on the score calculation. But the best ways to improve your score are:

    1. Continue building and expanding. More you utilize Azure's infrastructure, the better your engagement score is likely to be
    2. Leverage a variety of services in your project, which demonstrates broader engagement.
    3. Regular and consistent use of services over time could also positively impact your score.

I can tell you that score is recalculated periodically and can take some time for your usage changes to be reflected. For more detailed information, you can refer to our Get More Benefits FAQ - Microsoft Learn page.
