Error Creating Indexer with SharePoint Data Source in AI Search

When attempting to create an indexer using a SharePoint data source, the following error is encountered:

The SharePoint URL has been verified, and the credentials used have full access. API permissions are granted as per the documentation. What could be causing this issue?

The SharePoint indexer is currently in public preview and has certain limitations. It only supports the document formats listed in the document, so please make sure that you have reviewed them and are not attempting to index any unsupported formats.

If you are trying to create the indexer with one of supported document, facing this issue Could you please help us with below information to understand and assist you better.

Are you getting this error while creating data source or indexer? also, help us with complete error message and request id?

Can you help us with steps how are you trying to create the indexer from portal or from rest api?

What is the document format you are trying to import? and help us with a sample to test it from our end as well/

Any specific documentation steps or tutorial are you following if yes please do share the document link here.

I have used two SharePoint URLs. Is SharePoint's connector compatible with document repositories, as URL 1 represents a document library (which works) and URL 2 represents a document repository (which fails during indexer creation)?

Now I'll answer the questions you asked.

I'm able to create the data source. However, when I create an indexer, I get the error.

I have used REST API to create an indexer. Creating an indexer from the portal is not available

The document formats are mostly docx, pdf, xlsx.
