As I told you, I already know Microsoft intentionally embedded artificial intelligence into Windows 11. I will not ever install it, and neither will a majority, because of this fact. We are completely 100 percent against the use of A.I. in ANY operating system, hardware or software, especially in the operating system. The end game is odd. If we can not control what it does, then we should be suspicious and never accept it under any circumstances.
How do I block and remove all embedded artificial intelligence and programs that use artificial intelligence from Windows 11?
I am reluctant to upgrade to Windows 11, and I know I am far from the only person in this position come October 2025 with end of life support for Windows 10. Is there any way you can give consumers and businesses the choice to NOT install ANY artificial intelligence in Windows 11 when we install it?

2024-11-06T00:56:54.4233333+00:00 Microsoft has not provided an official way to install Windows 11 without AI features entirely, there are a few approaches that can help users minimize or disable AI-related functionalities post-installation. Some AI features are deeply integrated into system functions. Future updates may add new AI. Microsoft's direction is toward more AI integration, not less features.

2024-11-07T02:50:52.5133333+00:00 Hello,
Blocking and removing embedded artificial intelligence (AI) features from Windows 11 can be a bit challenging, as many of these features are integrated into the operating system. However, there are steps you can take to minimize their presence and functionality:
Disable Windows Copilot:
Go to Settings > System > Copilot and toggle the switch to Off. This will disable the Copilot feature.
Registry Edits:
You can make changes in the Windows Registry to further disable AI functionalities:
Open the Registry Editor (type regedit in the Start menu).
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows.
Right-click on the Windows folder, select New > Key, and name it WindowsCopilot.
Inside this key, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named TurnOffWindowsCopilot and set its value to 1.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Uninstall AI-Related Apps:
Check for any installed applications that utilize AI features (like Microsoft Edge with integrated AI) and uninstall them if they are not needed. Go to Settings > Apps > Optional features and look for any AI-related features.
Group Policy Editor (for Pro and Enterprise versions):
If you have Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise, you can use the Group Policy Editor to disable specific AI features. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components and look for settings related to AI features.
Considerations
While these steps can help reduce AI functionalities, completely removing all AI components may not be feasible due to their deep integration into the OS. It's also worth noting that as technology evolves, AI features are likely to become more prevalent.
I hope the information above is helpful.
Best Regards,
Yanhong Liu
